The Student Accountability System gives School Administrators and Parents the real time location of their children.  Using the Mobile Witness system, students easily scan their ID card in front of our transportation grade card reader as they enter and exit the bus.  Each scan is sent to a server that allows School Administrators to query each bus’s manifest, perform searches to find missing students or generate ridership reports for the Bus Fleet.  If our system detects that a bus is turned off and a student has been left behind on the bus, notification is sent to the fleet administrator for immediate resolution.

The Student Accountability System is combined with the Mobile Witness Mobile DVR allowing for as many as 8 Cameras to be installed per bus.  Combining technologies drives the benefits up, while lowering the overall cost of ownership for the school District.

School Districts can also provide parents with a free or fee based service that will send a text message with the address and time of their child’s entrance or exit on the bus.

This allows the opportunity for the School District to fund a more secure and accurate ride for its students without pulling from the capital budget.  ROI can come as quickly as one year.  The text messaging service also eliminates the need for parents to call into the district for the whereabouts of students.
